The Academic Network of Serbia Becomes Part of Europe
23.04.2009The Academic Network of Serbia (AMRES) was among the first countries of the West Balkans that has become a full member of the GEANT3 community. The GEANT3 project, funded by the European Commission (Seventh Framework Program FP7), is the outcome of many years of cooperation between 36 European national research and educational computer networks in providing top quality communication services for the scientific and academic community.

Regional seminar and ministerial round table

In Belgrade, from the 27th to 29 April, in the house of the National Assembly, a regional seminar and ministerial round table will be held on the transition from analogue to digital broadcast of television programs, in which 19 ministers from the region of Central and Eastern Europe are expected to participate. The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society organizes this event in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union, the United Nations’ specialized agency, of which the Republic of Serbia is one of the founders, as far back as 1866.
