Dr Irini Reljin

She was born in Belgrade. She attended the Mathematical Grammar School, gaining an Alas diploma in Physics. University educated, she gained a Masters and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in Belgrade.
Irini Reljin’s first job was at the Nikola Tesla Technical secondary school.
In 1981, she started working as a lecturer at the College for Postal and Telecommunication Services. In 2001 she was appointed Principal of the College for Postal and Telecommunication Services, which was accredited as a college for professional studies of information and communication technology in 2007.
In 2001 she was appointed a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Belgrade, and in 2008, she was chosen for the position of Associate Professor, specialising in telecommunications. She teaches subjects in the fields of television, multimedia telecommunications and telecommunications systems at basic, Master and PhD level.
In 2000, Irini Reljin was trained for MPEG / DVB - Digital Broadcasting at Thomson Broadcast Systems, Cergy Pontoise.
Her research areas include: digital telecommunications, multimedia systems, television, neural networks, optical communications, linear and non-linear methods of signal processing.
She has published over 200 scientific and professional papers in leading international journals and national magazines, and has taken part in conferences of international and domestic importance. Dr. Irini Reljin’s works have been quoted over 100 times in foreign publications. She has been invited to hold a large number of lectures both at home and abroad.
She is vice-president of the programme committee of TELFOR, the largest local conference in the field of telecommunications. She is a member of programme committees of several international and national conferences.
She has participated in a number of international and national research projects. She is the manager of a technological development project funded by the Serbian Ministry of Science and Technological Development. As a consultant, she has participated in several projects in the field of digital television.
She is a member of several associations, both international (IEEE, SMPTE, BSUAE) and national (ETRAN, the Telecommunication Society, MTT and the Equal Opportunities Association). She also reviews international journals for the IEEE association.
